BSA Women's College Patna - Barharwa (Sahibganj) was established on 16.12.1981 on the land of Barharwa by the immense grace of Maa Vindhyavasini. The purpose of the establishment is how to get higher education to the girl students of tribal and minority community who come from poor backward ST , SC and OBC category. To fulfill this purpose , this college has built its own grand building situated at the foot of the hill between Ranga and Mayurjhutti, which is spreading its unique shade for its beauty. The college has got the recognition of Permanent Affiliation (Affiliation. Permanent Affiliation) from S.K.M. University Dumka on Arts (Arts) and Science graduate. Along with the welfare department of Jharkhand for girl students, scholarship for all categories of girl students, well equipped library, pure canteen, sports ground, attractive seminar hall, N.S.S, -C.S.C. Computer training and sewing cutting training is being given free of cost under P and Mukhyamantri Sarathi Yojana, which is adding to the development of the college.
With the better efforts of the Principal of our college Mr. Bhanudev Dev Prasad Singh, solar energy and WiFi campus and new facilities are being arranged, which is a matter of fortune for this college. We cannot forget the contribution of all the teaching and non-teaching staff of this college. He is taking forward the development order of the college by giving his full time. Girl students also play an important role in the programs of the college. This women's college is trying its best to create new dimensions for success.
